Watford Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for multiple facilities at Northwest Florida State College. These projects included new construction, building additions, and renovations to existing academic and student services facilities, requiring coordination with existing systems and ongoing campus operations.<\/p>\n

Building 310 \u2013 Addition and Renovation<\/h3>\n

Watford Engineering supported the addition of a second level to an existing single-story building. As part of the project, all existing first-floor HVAC systems were demolished and replaced with new chilled water variable air volume air handling units serving each floor. Terminal units with hot water reheat were utilized to provide zone-level temperature control.<\/p>\n

Plumbing work included new water heaters to serve building fixtures, and a new fire sprinkler system was added throughout the facility. Roof drainage systems were extended and connected to the site stormwater infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Building 400 \u2013 Student Services Renovations<\/h3>\n

Watford Engineering provided HVAC and plumbing engineering services for renovations to the second and third floors of the existing Student Services Building. The scope included redistribution of airflow from existing terminal units, associated minor controls modifications, relocation of fire sprinkler heads to accommodate a new ceiling grid, and plumbing service for new fixtures.<\/p>\n

The design included full air balancing for both floors. Watford Engineering also provided commissioning services for the HVAC controls systems to verify proper operation following construction.<\/p>\n
