WEI provided full Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Design Services for this new, ~22,000SF classroom addition. The 2 story building consists of an entry lobby with an open stair to second floor, several classrooms, as well as lab spaces.  Chemistry/Science labs required a laboratory fume exhaust fan using dedicated outside air units in conjunction with split system dx equipment to serve the space. 

Electrical Design included new 208/120V electrical service for new classroom building. Generated lighting and receptacle layouts for classroom spaces; including laboratory classrooms. By Coordinating between the architect and designer, we provided specialized lighting for architectural design elements, performed lighting calculations, electrical connections for HVAC systems, and  design for new building’s fire alarm system.

Plumbing Design included Gas brought in for use in the lab spaces and an emergency shut off at the entrance, as well as  master control valves. Plumbing fixtures were coordinated with the architect to meet aesthetic requirements.  An Acid neutralization tank was used to treat waste from the lab spaces prior to connection to site sanitary system. Fire Protection Design included a fully sprinkled building.
