Okaloosa County Administration Building
Watford Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services for the new three-story Okaloosa County Administration Building Annex. The approximately 62,000 square foot facility houses the Tax Collector, Engineering, County Attorney, and Commissioners’ offices.
Mechanical systems include air-cooled chillers and a boiler serving variable air volume air handling units with digital controls. The building program includes a Commission Meeting Room and a dedicated Computer Room. Plumbing systems consist of typical commercial building systems utilizing low water consumption fixtures. Fire protection design includes wet-pipe sprinkler systems serving the majority of the facility, with a clean agent (FM-200) fire suppression system provided for the computer room.
