Watford Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for a series of new build and renovation projects supporting multiple technical education programs at Tom P. Haney Technical College. Collectively, these projects were developed to modernize instructional spaces, improve building systems, and support continued program operation during construction.
HVAC Shop Renovations
Watford Engineering supported renovations to facilities serving the HVAC program, including classroom, office, shop, and ancillary spaces. The project included HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and architectural renovations, with new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes throughout. Minor renovations were also completed to temporarily relocate the HVAC program to allow construction to proceed without interruption. This project was funded through a Triumph Grant.

Pipe Fitting Shop Renovations
Renovations were completed to facilities serving the pipe fitting program, including classrooms, offices, shop areas, and support spaces. The scope included HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and architectural renovations, with upgraded finishes throughout. The renovated space includes nine repair bays, lockers, and restroom facilities to support hands-on instruction.

Welding and Wing Lab Renovations
The Welding and Wing Lab project was developed to expand program capacity while maintaining continuous operation of one of the school’s most active programs. Construction was completed in two phases, utilizing existing vacant space to establish a new welding facility prior to renovating the original space.
The new welding facility includes 50 welding stations, a CNC cutting table, a full fume collection system, and expanded outdoor material storage. Upon completion, the existing welding space was renovated to support the Wing Lab (Airframe) program. Watford Engineering provided HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and architectural engineering services for both phases, including new finishes throughout classrooms, offices, shops, and ancillary spaces.
